WORTH THE MESS
A woman was visiting friends who had been happily married for over fifty years. The husband entered the house in his work shoes and left clods of dirt on the clean kitchen floor. The woman looked at the wife to see what her reaction would be and said, “Your husband’s shoes sure bring the dirt in, don’t they.” The wife smiled a smile of contentment and agreed, “Yes, they do, but they also bring him in! The mess is worth it.”
