UNCOLLARED
A priest went on vacation to a little resort town. A local fellow engaged him in conversation and when he found he was a priest, he said, “My lay church group is having a meeting tonight, and we’d love to have you speak to us.” The priest said he would but then remembered that he had not brought a clerical collar with him. So he went to the local priest, explained his situation and asked if he might borrow a collar. The other priest nodded and said, “I understand your situation: a LAY DATE and a COLLAR SHORT.” By Dr. Richard Barnes
