WASHED AWAY
It seems that several management-types were gathered at the River Jordan along with the crowds that came out to see John and they decided they needed to get things better organized. So they set up tables and began to give tags to those coming for repentance. On the tag was to be written the person’s name and worst sin. Bill walks up to the table. The organizers write his name on the tag and then ask: “What’s your most awful sin, Bill?” “I stole some money from my boss.” The person at the table takes a marker and writes in bold letters “BILL — EMBEZZLER” and slaps it on Bill’s chest. The next person steps forward. “Name?” “Joann.” “Joann, what’s your most awful sin?” “I gossiped about a lot of people. It wasn’t really very much… but I did it because I didn’t like them, they deserved it.” The organizers write, “JOANN — SLANDERER” and slap it on her. A man shuffles…
