ABRAM’S GARAGE SALE
Here is an imaginary conversation between Abram and one of his neighbors. The scene is a garage sale at Abram’s and Sarai’s house in Ur… Abram’s Neighbor: “Whoa! There’s lots of good stuff here, Abe. What gives? It’s looks like you’re selling everything?” Abram: “Not everything, but we are trying to unload a bunch of stuff. You know, lighten the load a little.” Abram’s Neighbor: “Oh, I see. Just trying to make a little room, huh. House getting too full?” Abram: “Well, not really, we’re putting that up for sale, too!” Abram’s Neighbor: “Oh, you’re moving into one of those retirement villages? Abram: “No, I guess you could say we’re going on a trip.” Abram’s Neighbor: “You mean a cruise?” Abram: “Not really, just a trip.” Abram’s Neighbor: “Where you headed? Abram: “I don’t really know.” Abram’s Neighbor: “What do you mean you don’t know? How can you not know where you’re going? Haven’t you made arrangements with your travel agent?”…
