FISHING TIME & CONDITIONS
From B.A.S.S. MAIL on the TNN Network’s The Bassmasters, a man wrote to the television show with the question, “How can I become a professional fisherman?” The answer to his question came from a professional fisherman. This professional fisherman said that some fishermen try to become professionals by first trying to get sponsors. But the best way to turn pro is to “spend time on the water.” Another fishing professional said that the best way to win fishing tournaments is to not keep doing the same thing that may have worked fine the first day of the tournament. “Conditions change and so must we!” was his advice. Jesus called us to become professionals as fishers of men. The best fishers among us will not become too preoccupied with getting sponsors or using the same old techniques.
