I CAN SEE!
“I can see! I can see!” These were the first words from Jean Phillips after her twenty minute operation on October 24, 1996. She had lived sixty-six years in blindness. She had learned to cope with life as a blind person. She had learned Braille; she had dressed by garment texture to know the colors, she had married and had three children without ever seeing them with any clarity. And now she could see. Jean Phillips knows better than most the feeling that must have belonged to those who have experienced the miraculous healing of Christ. This must be the similar response experienced by so many who have found the healing touch of Christ that opened their spiritual eyes to the light of his life everlasting. “I can see! I can see!” From an article by Cynthia Hubert in the Sacramento Bee and reprinted in the Rocky Mountain News, April 1, 1997
