FORGOT TO DISCUSS THE ALLIGATORS
A story is told of writer Dorothy Parker who received two alligators as a gift from a friend. While contemplating what she would do with this strange gift, she placed the two gators in some water in her bath tub. The next day she left the house with the two baby alligators still in the tub. When she returned that evening, she found a note from her housekeeper. The note read: “Dear Madam, I am leaving. I cannot work in a house with alligators. I would have told you this before, but I never thought the subject would come up.” Adapted from A Treasury of Humor, by Eric W. Johnson, pg. 42
