SPOT OF SIN
When I come to church on Sunday, I generally wear a clean, white shirt. Now, if my pen were to run and make even the smallest ink spot in the front of the shirt, and I couldn’t get that stain out, then the shirt’s ruined, isn’t it? I can’t wear it for Sundays anymore. It’s time to throw it out. James tells us: “whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.” If we have sinned at all, we have the guilt of sin. The only way to cleanse us from that sin is by the blood of Jesus Christ. From Jeff A. Collins, Park Street Baptist Church, Pittsfield, New Hampshire
