Just when you thought Y2K had come and gone away, we have received this memo. This was a memo that went out to one fortunate employee who was willing to tell us. Perhaps more employees received these memos but never shared them. Here is the memo: From: Automated Payroll Processing To: Valued Employee Date: January 1, 2000 Subject: Vacation Pay Our records indicate that you have not used any of your accrued vacation time for 100 years, 4 months, and 17 days. As I’m sure you are aware, employees are granted 3 weeks of paid leave per year or pay in lieu of time off. One additional week is granted for every 5 years of service. You are required to either take 313 weeks off of work or notify our office and your next pay check will reflect a pay in lieu of time off in the amount of $250,400.
