THE RIGHT CHURCH
A man called the pastor to say he wanted to join the church. But he said he didn’t want to attend every week, he wasn’t interested in reading the Bible or prayer, outreach wasn’t one of his interests, he didn’t want to be a teacher or a leader, and he absolutely was not going to give ten percent of his money to the church. The pastor commended him for his interest in joining the church, but suggested that the church he would really enjoy was located across town. The man took directions and hung up. When he found the church, it was an abandoned church building, boarded up and ready for demolition.
