In the Old Testament saga, Israel’s greatest King is David. He was called the “Lion of Judah,” the “Warrior King.” David was a great military leader. He had great expertise in financial affairs. He was a great organizer/administrator. He was King of Israel during her “Golden Age “-in fact, he was largely responsible for bringing it about. And, it was almost 3000 years ago when King David put together a parade the like of which has never been seen again-not even on our modern TV screens.

David, after overcoming many obstacles, had established Jerusalem as the Capital City, the “Holy city.” He had built the great wall around the city. He had built the water supply system. He had devised the military defenses for the city. He had been able to do many other marvelous things to make the city great, but … there was one thing missing: The Ark of the Covenant.
