FINDING GOD WITH A LISTENING HEART
In commenting on Psalm 46:10: “Be still and know that I am God.” Max Lucado tells of an interview by Dan Rather with Mother Teresa. Rather asked her what she said when she spoke to God in prayer. Mother Teresa told him that she listened. Rather was surprised by her answer and then asked, “Well, then, what does God say?” Mother Teresa smiled and answered gently, “He listens.” An awareness of God is sometimes best found in the stillness and quietness of a listening heart.
