TRY THANKSGIVING
A missionary recounted his experience in China that shows this. He had received bad and sad news from home, and deep shadows had covered his soul. Though he prayed, the darkness didn’t go away, in fact, it seemed to deepen. In the midst of his despair, he went to an inland mission station and saw on the wall of the mission house these words: “Try Thanksgiving.” He did, and in a short time every shadow was gone, not to return. Most people pray little, but praise even less. If other things have seemed to fail, why not “try thanksgiving?”
