ULTIMATE ACCOMPLISHMENT
I well remember Grandma Beemer’s funeral from a number of years ago. Mrs. Beemer had been in a rest home for years. She had been in very poor health for quite some time. In addition, her eyesight was terrible and she couldn’t walk. Grandma was a strong believer, and she held to a solid hope in the Lord. I am here to declare that her hope was eventually realized at death. As I concluded the funeral sermon that afternoon, I brought out her old wheelchair and her glasses which she had worn for years. When she died, she left them behind. She no longer needed them. God had given her something better — a new body complete with perfect legs, perfect eyes, and perfect health!
