FAMILY FUN FUND
A number of years ago, a Christian brother told me one particular way to actively involve the family in extra ministry functions that they may otherwise resent. He suggested that any money received as honoraria–funerals, weddings, seminars, and speaking engagements–is put into a special family fund. This has proven useful in my case. We call ours the Family Fun Fund. The money received from these engagements pay for special evenings and outings that we may not have otherwise done as a family. It keeps the family excited about ministry and allows the one ministering to “make up for lost time” with the family. By Michael Hodgin
