TWO AND A HALF LIVES
D. L. Moody was once asked how many were saved in a particular evangelistic service he had conducted. Moody answered, “Two and a half.” Moody was asked if that meant “two adults and one child.” Moody said it did not. What it meant was “two children and one adult.” The children had their entire lives ahead of them. The life of the adult was half over. Eighty-five percent of Christians have been saved by age fifteen. Only one in 10,000 come to Christ after age thirty. And only one in 750,000 are saved after age seventy-five.
