ANT BRIDGE SOLUTION
The ants found their way to the picnic and began to individually take crumbs several times their size back to their colony. But as the ants took the crumbs away, they encountered a problem. They were unable to carry the crumbs across a large crack in the pavement. There was soon a crowd of ants with crumbs on one side to the crack with no way of continuing. After carefully surveying the problem, the ants came up with a solution. Some of the ants walked into the crack and lay their bodies down and formed a bridge for the others. What a unique opportunity to heed the words of Solomon in Proverbs 6:6 as he tells us to “Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise.” The industrious ants teach us yet another lesson to lay ourselves down as a bridge for others–to subordinate ourselves for the good of others.
