BORN WITH ALL THOSE DEFECTS
Dr. C. Everett Koop, tells in his memoirs of being the Surgeon General about one child he had to operate on that most surgeons who saw him said there was nothing that could be done for him. Koop took things one step at a time, and as you can understand became close to him and his family after fifty operations! Imagine the parents and everything they had to cope with. The mother was asked one day what the worst thing life had brought her was. She said without hesitation, “Having Paul born with all those defects.” Again asked what the best thing life had brought her, and she answered without hesitation, “Having Paul born with all those defects.”
