CHRISTIAN ENDURANCE
Criticism and opposition he endured without recrimination. A Christian should be a patient, undaunted, undiscouraged torchbearer for Christ. If a storm of abuse should chance to break on him, he is to stand in statue-like indifference to it all, holding forth the word of life. If blasts of ridicule dash him in the face, he is to take it silently and imperturbably as the bronze figure takes the tempest. It is the man who stands who moves the world. Ernest Gordon, A. J. Gordon, pg. 158 quoted by J. Oswald Sanders, Spiritual Leadership, pg. 100
