THE EYES OF ELISHA
Lord – what happened the day I lost the battle? What happened when I fell and it seemed I couldn’t get up? Why did all of these things happen to me? How am I supposed to handle the problems that seem to come my way in droves at times and other times, they come sneaking into my life in a way that I am not expecting at all? Oh, the questions could go on forever, I know. I also am aware of that, if I were to focus all of my attention on problems, failures and things that get me down, I wouldn’t be able to stand very much of the time. Knowing that the battle isn’t against flesh and blood does help in understanding some of what goes on. I think of it as it was with Elisha’s servant, when the king of Syria came to get Elisha.
