ANSWERED PRAYER
This is about a man named Ioan Teodosiu who was arrested at his work place in Cluj- Napoca, Romania, in December, 1981 . . . the day after he had been interviewed by Steven Lawson, associate editor of Charisma Magazine. Teodosiu was accused of being an enemy of the state (although the specific charges were never made clear). Before his arrest, Teodosiu had served as chairman of the underground committee that gathered information about religious rights violations in Romania, which has a socialist government. Whenever a pastor was arrested or a church building bulldozed, Teodosiu and his friends would send the information to the West. At that time Lawson worked for a ministry called “East- West News Service” which was Teodosiu’s primary contact. When arrested, Teodosiu was taken to a prison in Bucharest, the capital city. He was held there for four months. During that time he was interrogated and tortured. His daily food ration was water, rice and occasionally hard bread.…
