AGGRAVATION, IRRITATION, & FRUSTRATION
A boy was doing a vocabulary homework assignment and asked his father how the words aggravation, irritation, and frustration differed from one another. His father picked up the phone and told his son he would show him. The father called a random number. When someone answered, the father asked if he could speak to Randolph. The person who answered said that there was no Randolph at this number. When the father hung up the phone, he turned to the boy and said, “That’s aggravation.” The father then dialed the same number again. When the same person answered, the father asked to speak to Randolph. The person who answered was not happy with this second call, and said so, and then said that Randolph was not at this residence!
