TOO MANY BARKING DOGS
The apartment manager was showing a prospective tenant an apartment. The prospective tenant asked the manager: “Are there any barking dogs in any of the adjoining apartments?” The manager assured her: “Oh, no! I would never allow such a thing.” The relieved woman sighed, “That’s good, because I have two barking dogs of my own, and I don’t think I could stand to hear any others.” Adapted from a submission by Carey Barnett, Beaumont, California
