THE FATHER CAN SEE
The city was being bombed, and a father picked up his son and ran for shelter. The father found a deep hole. He put down his son and jumped into the hole. He then called for his son to jump into his arms. The boy hesitated, “But I can’t see you.” The father looked up at the silhouette of his son with a background of explosions and burning buildings. “But you don’t have to see me, son, because I can see you!” The son jumped into his father’s waiting arms.
