COMPARATIVELY BETTER BAD DAY
Thornapple, the born loser, is sitting with his boss. His boss lets out a sigh of lament. Thornapple asks, “Bad day?” His boss says, “The pits! My valet called in sick, one of my dividend checks is a day late and to top it all off, the cigarette lighter in my Rolls is on the fritz!” Thornapple, with a look of disbelief and disgust says, “Things are tough all over!” From Born Loser by Chip Sansom, November 20, 1991 Thanks again, to Dicky Love who provided all of the illustrations that appear on this page as well as a few more found in this issue.
