OLDIES BUT GOODIES
As I have read all of the stories that have come in for our recent contest, I have been impressed with the many old chestnuts that are still going around that I heard and used years ago — and have subsequently forgotten, or dismissed as simply too well worn to use. And then you hear it used by someone else and it really still works. So, without shame, we do print a goodly number of those old, faithful treasures. After all, there’s a constant crop of people coming along who weren’t even around twenty years ago when we first heard the story, which reminds me of one of my old favorites I was reminded of by Richard Moore of Vista, CA, about the little boy who was working hard on a drawing and his Daddy asked him what he was doing.
