In his book The Power of Positive Praying, John Bisagno told of an elderly Russian woman who was being moved into low-income housing provided by the State. When a friend inquired about why she had not heard from her son who had emigrated to the United States, she replied that he had written her but all he ever sent to her were little pictures of people whom she thought must be his friends. The friend asked if she had kept the pictures. She had. She led him into a room that was covered with five, ten, and twenty dollar bills pinned to the walls.
