LOST CREDIT CARD
A teenaged daughter had lost her credit card but was too embarrassed to report the loss to her father. After six weeks, she could stand it no longer. She went to her dad and confessed, “Daddy, you know that credit card you gave me? I am so sorry, but I lost it. Please forgive me and get me a new one.” The girl’s father calmly answered his daughter and explained, “I already knew about the loss. Someone found your card and has been using the card for several weeks. I have been tracking the purchases right up through this morning.” The daughter was perplexed and asked, “But Daddy, if you knew someone had my card, why didn’t you stop it and get my card back for me?” Her father responded, “Why would I do that? The person who has your card spends a lot less than you ever did. I’m saving a lot of money.”
