SEE AND DO THE NEEDFUL
David Wells, M.D., a recent graduate of McGill University, volunteered his services as a physician to the Canadian “Peace Corps” and was sent to a remote area of Kenya in Africa. One night, Wells was wakened by an emergency. As he entered the clinic, he noticed a badly battered African dressed in rags and caked with blood and dust, lying on a makeshift litter carried by two exhausted villagers. They had been traveling for two days. Wells approached the injured man and was surprised to see a note carefully pinned to the patient’s rags.
