PILGRIM BELT TOO HIGH
The teacher gave her second grade class an assignment. She told her class to put themselves in the place of the Pilgrims and figure out some of the hardships the Pilgrims must have had to go through when they first arrived in America. One little boy returned to class with his research complete. He reported to the class that the Pilgrims had difficulty keeping their pants up. This answer surprised the teacher who asked the boy how he had made this discovery. The boy explained, “I pretended like I was one of those Pilgrims. I dressed up like one of them. And as soon as I put my belt on my hat, my pants fell down.”
