NO NEED — JUST GREED
In Milford, Connecticut a man carrying more than $13,000 was charged with shoplifting $28 worth of film, razors and batteries from a department store. Engelo Grener, 27, was arrested after a K-Mart employee said he had the items in his jacket when he left the store Thursday. “It’s not uncommon for shoplifters to be carrying more than enough money to pay for what they steal,” said Police Officer Edward Kelly. “I can’t recall any other case where a shoplifter had as much money as Grener did,” Kelly said. Grener was freed on $50 bond and scheduled to return to court April 14. It’s not always the need; sometimes it’s just the greed. Taken from Associated Press, April 4, 1992
