GETTING GOD’S ATTENTION
A businessman had a big deal coming up and needed millions of dollars to make it happen. He went to church to beseech God for the money. He happened to kneel by a man who was praying that he could finally pay off a hundred dollar debt. The businessman overheard the man as he prayed and took a hundred dollars out of his wallet and slipped the bill into the other man’s folded hands. The man jubilantly praised God and ran from the church to pay his urgent debt with this sudden answer to his prayer. As the man went out the church door, the businessman bowed his head and closed his eyes. He then prayed, “Lord, now that I have your attention and I’ve shown you how easy it is to answer a simple request, I have one for you to handle directly.”
