YOUR FIXIN’ LIMITS
A book with a number of thoughtful little items in it is Charlie Shedd’s Then God Created Grandparents And It Was Very Good. One of our members, Ken Christiansen, loaned me his copy to read with a marker on this item. I liked it and will use it soon. It’s called “God Doesn’t Expect Us To Do Everything.” Grandpa was working on the gate when a small boy appeared. He puzzled a while as small boys will. Then he asked, “Whatcha doin’, Grandpa?” To which the aged sage replied, “Sonny, there are five kinds of broken things in this old world. There’s the kind which, when they are broken, can never be fixed. Then there’s the kind that’ll fix themselves if you leave them alone. There’s also the kind which are none of my business.
