MISSIONS-MINDED CHILDREN
Tricia Goyer of Columbia Falls, Montana proposes sixteen ways in which parents can involve their children in missions and make them missions-minded: 1. Give to a Great Commission organization; 2. Give of yourselves; 3. Show children how giving works; 4. Give missionaries news from home; 5. Get involved in mission groups and care about what your children are doing. 6. Make missions a family affair; 7. Journey onto the mission field yourself; 8. Let children see missionaries at work; 9. Start a missionary club at your church; 10. Create a “Missions Night” at home; 11. Send more than letters (gifts); 12. Learn about the people you’re praying for; 13. Ask your church to pray; 14. Pray specifically; 15. Use missions books for prayer suggestions; 16. Pray for missionaries in front of your children. Taken from the November issue of HomeLife, pp. 50 & 51
