Joan B. Beebe is the Associate Pastor of Calvary Church in South Pasadena. She recently wrote the following piece that was written in the Arcadia, CA weekly newsletter, and in Monday Morning I suspect it will be good not only for pastors but for many laypersons to read as well. She calls it “Thanks For Listening.” I’ve shortened it in a few spots. I’m writing this while I’m still in traction from a recent accident just so I won’t forget what I want to say to my sisters and brother in the minstry. Please, try not to be afraid of your own feelings of inadequacy in trying to help the patient. You go as a gift from God and a freind from the church. Let that be enough.
