Jim Taylor, pastor of Tri-Community Christian Fellowship in Oracle, AZ, wrote in the November/December, 1989 issue of Charisma of an interesting experiment with some of the major Christian ministers who faithfully send “junk mail” to our mail boxes. Pastoring a small struggling church and having to work a second job, he decided to emulate the approach used by these big ministries. . . He put together a form letter, explaining his position and history. If they could approach him with their needs, then why couldn’t he approach them with his? He received four replies. Charisma was bold and named the ministries. We are shy and are not revealing their identities. . .
