NEW WAY TO GOLF
I haven’t played golf in a while, but I remember some earlier years when I enjoyed the game and the fellowship it afforded me with some other pastors. Many men find the game both rewarding and frustrating. I remember when I was just starting. I was having a lot of trouble with the proverbial “slice.” A friend, who was something of an expert spent an afternoon with me, in an effort to help me with the game. He shared articles from several golf magazines and some personal words of instruction. Basically, what resulted was a complete change in my stance, grip and swing. By the time I addressed the ball like he said, gripped the club as he showed me, and patterned my swing by his advice, I was a most uncomfortable person. I just didn’t feel right.
