Dicky Love found some great definitions from a 1984 Charles Swindoll Tape. An Eternity Magazine article entitled “Bring on the Bromide Seltzer” poked a little fun at some of the Christian expressions commonly used. Here are a few of the clich�s regarding money: Share — Christians don’t tell, they share. They don’t criticize, they don’t give, they don’t testify, they don’t talk, they share. Opportunity to have a part – – what radio preachers say when they want you to give money. As the Lord leads — clich� for when your guilt becomes unbearable. Further the ministry — another way of saying let’s keep this baby afloat. Love offering — opposite of a hate offering.
