The shepherds were sitting around a fire on a hill near Bethlehem. The night before an angel had appeared to them, and now the air was filled with the sound of a choir of angels singing, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace and good will toward men.”
Trembling with awe and wonder, the shepherds began to speak. “I can’t believe what just happened!” one cried. “It seems like a dream!” Another said, “But the babe is still at the inn. I heard that wise men from the East came to see him after we left. They rode on camels and brought gifts.”
