LOSS OF INSPIRATION
Jay Rothman is suing the Hopeless Romantics flower shop in his native Los Angeles, California because they blundered the delivery of flowers and a note he wrote to his wife last February 13, on the occasion of their daughter’s birth. Rothman, an attorney, wants the court to award damages for “loss of inspiration.” He’s suing for infliction of emotional distress, fraud, and breach of contract after having rejected the florist’s apology and offer of a $300 dinner to make up for their mistake. “Those thoughts are lost,” Rothman said of his note, “It’s one of the only times in my life that I was really inspired.” Every preacher knows that feeling!
