ASSUMPTIONS
We all find ourselves operating on assumptions from time to time that prove to be all wrong from square one. Like the new salesman who was carrying an important-looking document and walked over to an office employee who was standing by the paper shredder. He asked, “Can you show me how to operate this machine?” The other man said, “Sure, just flick this switch to turn it on, then put your paper in that slot. That’s all there is to it.” The salesman said “Thanks.” He followed the instructions, then turned and asked, “Now, would you tell me how to set it to make three copies?” On The Upbeat
