DON’T PUSH!
Frank Goodman, Pastor of the Oasis Community Church of Twentynine Palms, California sent in the following note: Last week I heard a sermon by Dr. Paul Risser of Downey, California. He told of the little old lady who went to her pastor and exclaimed, “Oh, Pastor, I think your sermons are just superfluous!” As the pastor was responding that he hadn’t thought of them in exactly that way she went on. “Have you ever thought of having them printed? I think that sermons that superfluous should be in print.” Well, the pastor hadn’t taken any steps toward having any of his sermons printed. In fact, he told her that he thought that any printing of his sermons should be done posthumously. The little lady interrupted, “That’s just what you should do! Please do it right away!”
