THE WAY THE GOLDEN RULE WORKS
As a young boy in elementary school, I had a rubber knife — this was before the days of plastic. This knife was a dagger type of knife with a heavy handle. One day my older brother and I were playing, and he threw the knife at me, knocking out one of my teeth. It hurt and bled, and I cried. My mother came in the room to console me. I told my mother that I was going to knock out one of my brother’s teeth. My mother responded, “Now, that is not the way to be.
