RECONCILIATION
A book issued by the Army gives all manner of practical advice to noncommissioned officers – even telling them how to reconcile friends who have quarreled. The two are put to the task of washing the same window-one outside and one inside. When they have to look at each other they soon have to smile and soon the quarrel is forgotten. George Bemelmans, the man who relates this story said he tried it – and it worked.
