MOTIVATION — THE PLUS FACTOR
I had one of those civic responsibilities the other day — to be the invocator at a luncheon. I heard one good story there about the two fellows who were bass fishing out on a lake, side by side in a boat. But the one fellow was getting all the fish. The other had nary a nibble. After watching his buddy pull in all the fish he finally got exasperated and said “I just don’t understand this at all. Here we are, sitting in the same boat, on the same lake, using the same kind of pole, the same kind of bait and yet you’re getting all the fish. I just don’t get it.” The other fellow smiled and said, “Well, my bait has a PLUS FACTOR.” So the first fellow looked in his buddy’s bait pail and did notice that his minnows were swimming around with a great deal more enthusiasm than were his own.
