CASTLE OF DOOM
Sam Lord’s Castle in the Barbados is a show place. Approximately fifteen miles from the major city of Bridgetown, the castle was built in 1820 by Sam Lord. He used to fix lanterns in the coconut trees which caused ships passing in the night to think there was a harbor where in fact there was nothing but coral reefs, upon which the vessels were dashed. Sam salvaged the valuable cargoes and built a fabulous home.
