WAYS TO RUIN LIFE
Leroy Eims recalling the words of Billy Graham at the funeral of Dawson Trotman, founder of The Navigators: There are three ways to destroy one’s life: 1. Give in to the slothful nature and do nothing. These folks just lie around and fry in their own fat. 2. Give one’s self to a particular goal, work hard toward that goal, and upon attaining the goal find that it was not of great value. Many have found only bitterness and tears at this conclusion. 3. Dabble. Accomplish many little things, but nothing of any import. His conclusion was that Dawson’s life exhibited none of these characteristics. From Be the Leader You Were Meant to Be, by Leroy Eims, p. 66
