THE POWERFUL MOTIVATION OF HABITS
Farmer Brown and farmer Green were neighbors. Farmer Brown had a dog that loved to chase cats. Farmer Green had a cat that hated dogs. Whenever Brown came to visit Green his dog would come along. As soon as the dog got into Farmer Green’s yard the dog and the cat would be off and the cat would fly at top speed around the house with the dog in hot pursuit. As they came out from behind the house the cat would make his escape up the big maple tree. This happened every time Brown came to visit Green. After a couple of years Farmer Green cut down the tree. A couple of days later Brown and his dog came to visit. Out around the house went the cat with the dog right on his tail. The cat was 30 feet in the air before he realized that something was different.
