LONG-LOST RING
Richard Metcalf was a 1972 graduate of Madison Comprehensive High School in Mansfield, Ohio. Richard lost his ring in 1975 with the initials RAM while dating a girl who lived in nearby apartments. In 1995 Richard’s former friend and class-mate Reggie Sturts found the ring. A few days after the discovery, Richard and Reggie chanced to meet after years of not seeing one another. Reggie asked Richard if he still had his class ring. Richard told him he had lost it some twenty years earlier and told Reggie the details of the loss. Reggie then displayed Richard’s long-lost ring. Like Reggie, our great assignment in life is to help others find that which is lost. But our sights are set higher than class rings. As ambassadors of our Lord Jesus, we seek to restore relationships, purpose, and destinies in the lives of those around us. Story adapted from the Associated Press
