One of the good things about Easter is that we can get in touch with some of the feelings we had when we were little children. And it’s not just a nostalgia trip. It’s important, because Jesus said that unless we become like little children we cannot inherit the Kingdom of God…

Just for a moment, Lord, let me be like a child again. Somehow it wasn’t very long ago I knew those feelings, but now they’re gone. If I might just once again run as fast as I can for no reason but to feel the hard ground under my feet…walk home from school kicking a stone and dragging a stick…To wobble down the sidewalk on my new bike, biting my lips in concentration as I ride alone for the first time…to snuggle into warm blankets on a Saturday night in April fighting sleep to catch one magic glimpse of the Easter Bunny.
